This coffee is a single origin Catuai. The beans are fresh roasted to perfection, revealing notes of honeyed citrus, sweet fruit and floral flavors. It has scored an impressive 87/100 on the coffee tasting scale, so you know it's good.
This wet milled and strictly high grown Honduras Arabica of the Catuai variety is grown at above 5000 feet above sea level and makes for a superior cup of coffee since the sugars in the coffee develop slower, lending a richer flavor to the coffee. Only the ripe beans are meticulously hand picked every 7 or 8 days during harvest season. By carefully selecting only the ripe beans over a 4 month period, the coffee is more fully developed, and produces a very clean cup with a robust sweetness and smooth finish. A sweet tart and mild citrus acidity start in this medium bodied coffee finishes very smoothly with a nutty almond and creamy mouthfeel. A very smooth and balanced coffee with a bright finish.
